I wish this had been available when I started traveling. Whitney and Jared cover so many aspects of travel therapy/nursing that weren't even on my radar when I began my career as a travel PT almost five years ago. I think this a great resource for anyone considering travel healthcare and can help you be better prepared so that you don't learn some of the nuances involved with traveling 'the hard way' like I did. Even as someone with experience, I still found value in reviewing the information and identified new concepts that will make me a better traveler.

If you are contemplating travel therapy I HIGHLY recommend you take this course! I've been working for almost two years as a PT at a permanent job. While I actually love my perm job for so many reasons, I felt that there had to be something more that I can do with regards to my work flexibility, pay, and hope for managing my student loans. Because of Whitney and Jared's course, I am now confident in not only my ability to be a successful travel therapist, but that I am making the right decision for my future in becoming one. This course can be a life changer and regardless of where you are in your career, it's never too late to make a change. Not to mention if you already are a travel therapist, you should still consider taking this course.

It is a really solid course. It really does pay for itself with what you get out of it. It covers every aspect of being a travel therapist in good detail and how to approach it in a smart and intentional way. Travel therapy is its own beast so even if you're an experienced therapist you will be amazed by how many things you didn't consider before going into it (or even if you already are into it). Jared's savviness with finance is really the added bonus to the course because it's not just about travel therapy, but how to use it to optimize your finances. Jared and Whitney are amazing recourses and seem to know everything while at the same time being humble and always pointing out uncertainties and caveats.

Jared and Whitney have done it. I appreciate their efforts in putting their time into creating such an important course that ALL travelers need in order to succeed in the travel therapy world. My favorite part of the course was the financial planning and planning for the future sections of the course. Like Jared, one of the things I really enjoy Is learning anything that has to do with investments and financial planning in order to better prepare myself and my future family for the future. Whitney and Jared have really put together a great course! I just finished my first travel PT contract (which was also extended thanks to their advice) and they really dive in on the details of traveling agencies, finance, housing, contracts, interviewing, and so much more. This course was exactly what I needed to feel confident in my decision to start travel PT as a new grad! It has helped me understand the building blocks and how to optimize my experience/finances with travel PT. I felt confident with my phone interview, working with recruiters, and constructing my contract. I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I knew that Whitney and Jared are quite knowledgeable about travel therapy and had helped provided valuable resources for me and my family to get started with researching/planning for transition to travel therapy from my permanent job, but this course truly blew me away by how organized, detailed, and incredibly helpful it was! Much of the nerves and stressors associated with learning about such a big transition (especially for a family of 4 plus a dog!) were alleviated by the comprehensive topics covered from A to Z in this course. The breakdown of the categories discussed was absolutely appropriate for the many topics that need considered when starting this journey, and the level of detail/depth for which each area was covered was well thought out. Jared and Whitney's "Becoming a Financially Successful Travel Therapist" course is a great resource for budding traveling healthcare professionals. In particular, it was useful for me as a student anticipating traveling immediately after graduation. As you'll find out, the time investment involved in planning travel therapy assignments can be significant. It takes a lot of research to get your money's worth, and this course helped me immensely by providing the important information in an easily accessible format. Here are several of the features of the course-delivery which really shine: 1. A simple web platform with videos that load quickly (even over mobile data!) 2. Summaries of important points at the end of each module. Audio as the primary content-delivery method: important for learning while driving! 3. Ability to listen on 2x speed. 4. Links to additional resources and relevant articles from the Travel Therapy Mentor website as well as outside resources. All in all, Jared and Whitney's course is a life saver if you are planning on traveling with no prior background or research. This is doubly true if you are a student and soon-to-be new grad! Make sure to give it a try if you are seriously considering this lifestyle, as it may save you a lot of wasted time and reduce having to learn things "the hard way."
